[News] Musical “The Days” reboot announces performance schedule (Updated with cast)

For anyone planning on being in the Seoul area come this fall and winter, the musical production “The Days” (그날들) has announced more details on the upcoming reboot of the show that garnered so many awards in 2013.  Ji Chang Wook will be reprising his role as Muyeong, so fans can look forward to seeing him on the stage again! Here’s what we know so far:

Venue:  Grand Theatre Daehangno (same place as 2013’s run)

Dates:  Tuesday, 21 October 2014 through Sunday, 18 January 2015 (individual cast schedules to follow soon)

Performance Times:  Tuesday through Friday, 8:00 PM / Saturdays 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM / Sundays 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM

Ticket Prices:  NEW VIP Section (first three rows) 110,000 / R Section (main floor) 88,000 / S Section (balcony) 66,000 (a marked increase in price from last year’s tickets)

Sales Open:  28 August 2014 at 1:00 PM (through the TiKi portal); 2:00 PM (through Interpark)

Ages: No one under 8 years old admitted

Synopsis:  Jeong-hak and Mu-yeong are two bodyguards assigned to protect the President and his family at the Blue House.  During events to celebrate a peace accord between China and Korea, a woman in residence and one of the bodyguards disappear prior to a state dinner.  Thinking that they were kidnapped by a separatist group, the other bodyguard searches diligently for the two, but to no avail.  On the 20th anniversary of the China-Korea Peace Accord and right before another celebratory state dinner, the President’s daughter goes missing and the remaining bodyguard begins having flashbacks to the time his comrade disappeared.  Will he be able to put all the pieces together in order to safely bring home the First Daughter?

To drum up promotions for the reboot, a greeting video featuring Yoo Joon Sang and Ji Chang Wook has been released.

The casting schedule has been released! Ji Chang Wook will be performing at the premiere on 21 October. A great honour indeed!

He has been confirmed for 20 performances throughout the run, but the initial dates and timings are as follows:
21 October, 8pm
25 October, 3pm and 7pm
29 October, 8pm
2 November, 2pm and 6pm
7 November, 8pm

2nd round of performances added:
11 November, 8pm
15 November, 3pm and 7pm
23 November, 2pm and 6pm
27 November, 8pm

First promotional videos for the musical have been released.

Ticketing for the latter half of  November and first week of December’s performances will go on sale 25 September 2014 at 1:00 PM (through the TiKi portal); 2:00 PM (through Interpark).
