Facebook, in partnership with popular Vietnamese artists, has launched a video-making program to advertise Vietnam’s destinations and people, and Ji Chang Wook will participate with his own submission!
The campaign, entitled “Video for Vietnam – Vietnam In My Eyes,” will run from 20 September to 15 October to encourage participants to film short videos on three topics of Vietnamese cuisine (indigenous meals and specialties), people (cultures of ethnic groups and Vietnamese personalities), and land (natural landscapes across the country). The videos should be made public on the entrant’s personal Facebook and Instagram accounts using the hashtags #VideoforVietNamChallenge or #ViệtNamTrongTôiChallenge.
The best entries will be screened at a closing ceremony entitled “Vietnam in Me,” which will be livestreamed on 15 October at 7:00pm (local time). The program is part of the “Facebook for Vietnam” campaign, which was launched in May 2020 with the aim to help Vietnam quickly recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. The best videos will be shown in the livestream of the campaign through the Facebook Watch app, hosted by MC Nguyên Khang and Miss World Vietnam 2019 Dương Thùy Linh.
“I appreciate these meaningful activities to contribute to the recovery and development of our country’s economy after the pandemic. With solidarity and strong determination, I believe we will continue our success story in the fight against the pandemic, building a beautiful image of Việt Nam as well as making our country an attractive destination for both domestic and foreign tourists”, said presenter Miss Universe 2018 H’hen Niê.
With the participation of Vietnamese celebrities such as actress Hong Van, actor Quyen Linh, supermodel Thanh Hang, Thai broadcasters Nas Daily and Woody, as well as other famous Asian artists, the event is expected to inspire national pride and solidarity among Vietnamese people amidst the pandemic while contributing to rejuvenating the country’s tourism sector. Ji Chang Wook will participate in the “Video for Vietnam” campaign via a pre-recorded video to be aired during the 15 October Facebook Watch app on FB.com/facebookappVietnam (link to go live closer to broadcast date).
