[Breaking] Ji Chang Wook in talks for lead role in drama “Tell Me Your Wish”

Actor Ji Chang Wook is in discussions to return with a lead role in “Tell Me Your Wish.”

On 8 July, an official from the entertainment industry told Sports Chosun, “Ji Chang Wook will become the main character of the new drama “Tell Me Your Wish”, written by Cho Ryeong Soo, directed by Kim Yong Wan (“The Cursed”, “Champion”). “Tell Me Your Wish” is a drama about people who dream of “well-dying” [Note: not the same as euthanasia or ‘mercy killing’; the concept of dying happily on your own terms]. The story deals with salvation that takes place in a hospice ward, and tells the story of saving an ‘adult child’ who has fallen into a swamp.

Ji Chang Wook plays Yoon Gyeo Ri, a man who runs away from death. Yoon Gyeo Ri has no will to live, but is barely holding on in hospice. He is a broken ‘adult child’ who has a habit of tattooing his body and causing pain whenever his will for life springs up. A young man who is about three times more sick than an ordinary youth. In the end, viewers will want to see Yoon Gyeo Ri ‘living happily’, even for a short time.

After “Convenience Store Saet Byeol” and “Lovestruck In The City” which aired last year, Ji Chang Wook has been looking for a master role for a long time. Expectations are high, as he is expected to join after filming “Annarasumanara.” In the meantime, Ji Chang Wook has previously met viewers by showing various charms from his intense action acting to his daily acting. Attention is also focused on the charm of Ji Chang Wook, which he will show in the hospice ward.

In addition, Ji Chang Wook’s “Restricted Call” was selected as the highest-grossing film of this year’s release. Ji Chang Wook’s aura is also good while [the movie] has surpassed 800,000 viewers.

The programming is under discussion and will be filmed in the second half of 2021.
