[Drama] Ji Chang Wook’s heavy message, “Death does not end everything”

“If You Wish Upon Me,” Ji Chang Wook, Sung Dong Il, and Choi Soo Young foreshadowed the greatest chemistry ever.

On 20 July, KBS 2TV’s new Wednesday-Thursday drama “If You Wish Upon Me” (directed by Kim Yong Wan/script by Cho Ryeong Soo/hereinafter referred to as “Dang So-mal”) released a second teaser video containing the touching story of the wish-based Avengers “Team Genie.”

“Dang So-mal,” which will premiere on 10 August, is a healing drama in which a dangerous young man who is driven to the end of his life is healed by fulfilling people’s last wishes at a hospice hospital, and is motivated by a real foundation in the Netherlands.

The second teaser video which was released, starts with a narration of an old man with little time left, saying, “My time is over now.”  Sung Dong Il, playing “Team Genie” leader Kang Tae Sik, asks “What miracle do you want?”  The final wish project will then unfold.

Kang Tae Sik (Sung Dong Il), the leader of the wish-based Avengers ‘Team Genie’ and the hospice hospital’s enthusiastic volunteer class, as well as nurse Seo Yeon Joo (Choi Soo Young) and limited-time patients struggle to fulfill their last wishes.

In particular, the phrase “Our Last Gift” unfolds from ‘Team Genie’ dancing excitedly in front of the patients to Seo Yeon Joo spraying fake snow towards the sky on a summer day, giving viewers a warm impression.

At the end of the video, Ji Chang Wook, who has completely transformed into his Yoon Gyeo Re character, leaves a deep impression with a bright smile and a heavy message about life and death, saying, “Death does not end everything.”  In the first teaser video, Yoon Gye Re (played by Ji Chang Wook) revealed a strong impression with a lonely figure with no hope for life, raising expectations for the first broadcast of what changes he will have made in life after meeting ‘Team Genie.’

The production team of “Dang So-mal” said, “In the second teaser video, the wish-based Avengers ‘Team Genie’ makes the last wishes of the time-limited people at the last moment of their lives come true.  We ask for your warm attention to why ‘Team Genie,’ which consists of various characters, decided to fulfill the wishes of terminal cancer patients, and the performance of ‘Team Genie,’ which will provide deep comfort and empathy to the small screen,” he said.
