With the finale of “Welcome to Samdalri” broadcast on 21 January, the question on everyone’s lips was… will an OST box set for the drama ever be released? We can safely report the answer to that is YES!!!
As announced by Most Contents on 22 January, a “Welcome to Samdalri” OST box set is planned for release on 6 February 2024. Anticipated in the box set release will be 2 CDs containing official OST releases, 31 BGMs (background music), and 10 remastered versions of “The King of Pop” Cho Yong Pil that were inserted in the right place to add to the atmosphere!
Also included will be an 80-page photobook, a filmstrip bookmark, a mini seasonal calendar, a postcard (2 types randomly chosen), and a poster (1 type randomly chosen):

This OST album is one of Cho Yong Pil’s masterpieces representing the sensibility of the 1980s, and includes tracks from DK of the boy band SEVENTEEN, which resembles the relationship and memories of three months and Yong-pil; “Beautiful Day” by GEMINI, which seems to capture the lonely inner side of those who came to Seoul; “Dream” by Taeyeon, which contains the fierce journey of the Five Eagle Brothers who came to Seoul with brilliant dreams, and “Reunion” by Shin Seung Hun, which doubled the sorrow flowing out of Yong-pil’s past recollections.
In addition, CD1 includes a remastered version of “In My Heart” by Bumjin, which depicts Yong-pil wanting to be a strong side to Sam-dal; “A Good Person” by Kim Na Young, which expresses the desperation of Sam-dal and Yong-pil; “Song of the Sea” by Lee Ji-hye, which depicts Ko Mi-ja (Kim Mi Kyung), who misses her original diving partner; “Dance” by dori, which received hot attention after being inserted into the scene of Sam-dal on her journey to find the real Sam-dal.
CD2 contains remastered versions of “The King of Pop” Cho Yong-pil’s 10 masterpieces, which appeared like a gem through the entire drama. Also included will be 31 BGM (background music) songs that were inserted in the right place to increase immersion.
